Dam of Sunny K Sootzz
Sunny K's Tybee was purhased at the age of four months as a
4-H Horse Production Project for a relatively inexperienced pre-teenager.
Thanks primarily to Tybee's intelligent and forgiving disposition,
the young lady was able to completely "break", train,
and raise the little palomino to become a lovely mare. As a team,
Tybee and the 4-H'er went on win many awards in open and 4-H horse
shows, and to qualify for the State Championship 4-H Show in Harrisburg.
That 4-H'er went on to become the Pennsylvania State Winner in
the 4-H Horse Program, selected from over
6,000
horse program members to represent the state at National 4-H Congress
in Chicago. Today, she is a knowledgeable and active adult horsewoman;
a 10-year (plus) AQHA Breeder, a National Director for the Palomino
Horse Breeders of America, and a State Director in the Pennsylvania
AQHA Affiliate, PQHA.
At the age of 14, Sunny K's Tybee went on to have her first foal. She produced only four foals in her lifetime, but they included an AQHA ROM, AQHA Superior All-Around, Pennsylvania State Champion All-Around Quarter Horse, AQHA and PHBA Point Earner, five-time PHBA Honor Roll Top Ten in the Nation in Pleasure Driving, PHBA World Show Qualifier, and a PHA Top-Five in the Nation All-Around.
The last of her foals, which she produced at age 20, was Sunny K Sootzz. He was born about 9:30 in the evening on July 29, 1987. Here is a photo of Sootzz as a 10-day old foal with his mom, Sunny K's Tybee.
