Sire of Sunny K Sootzz

Soot 'N' Ashes side viewSoot 'N' Ashes was a much-renowned sire of top-quality Quarter Horses in Pennsylvania from the 1970's to the early 1990's. With limited showing, Soot 'N' Ashes himself was an AQHA Halter Point Earner in his early years and received year-end awards in Halter Stallions in several Pennsylvania Quarter Horse organizations. Soot 'N' Ashes went on to sire 121 foals in 21 crops. Among these were AQHA Register of Merit Qualifiers and point earners in Open, Amateur, & Youth. Many of his foals had great success in Open Showing and 4-H too, with some qualifying for the State 4-H Championship in Harrisburg. Soot 'N' Ashes foals were known as good all-around "using" horses with several ridden in the AQHA Horseback Riding Program; in trail organizations, and other activities.

THE SIRE OF PROVEN WINNERS - COLTS BY SOOT 'N' ASHES

With only four crops of foals on the ground, Soot's foals are spreading his name with honor. So far he has three different point earners: Sandy Soot, with points in Halter, Y.A. Halter, and Amateur Western Pleasure; Satin Silly Bars, with several English Pleasure points; and Sammy Soot, with Halter points.

The Soot 'N' Ashes foals are very well known at the Futurities and bring home the ribbons. For two years consecutively, Sammy Soot has won 1st in Weanling and Yearling 1977 Stallions, followed by #2, Cody's Poco Image, in the Tri-State Futurities. In P.Q.H.A. Futurities, Sammy Soot has stood 5th. In 1977 Weanling Fillies, Soot had 2 fillies, Susie Soot and Hilltops Poco Soot, standing in the top 10 out of 66 entries. Those 2 fillies also placed 3rd and 4th in the Tri-State, as well as the P.Q.H.A. Remembering these are just a few of Soot's foals, others also have been doing very well.

Already in 1978, Soot has an unnamed colt who placed the W.P.Q.H.A. Futurity. Susie Soot finished 2nd for the Yearling Fillies in W.P.Q.H.A. and an unnamed black filly placed very high in the Western Hew York Futurities At the Registered Quarter Horse Shows, Sandy Soot has led the State for the past 2 years in Halter Fillies of '75, 2nd in P.Q.H.A., Y.A. Mares Tri-State and W.P.Q.H.A. for 1978. Cody's Poco Image and Sammy Soot are #1 and #2 in Pennsylvania 2 year old geldings. There are many other good show colts on the ground sired by Soot 'N' Ashes.

Soot has color, conformation, good disposition, and all the other characteristics required to make a winning colt. You can be rewarded with a foal that will bring honor and praise to you and your farm.
